The MAN TGE is a badge engineered version of the 2nd generation Volkswagen Crafter.
Installation depth
Due to the lower section behind the radio having ducts for the air vents on the VW Crafter (2017-2023) there is only space for a Single DIN radio chassis or a slim chassis/ modular head unit (maximum mounting depth for the aftermarket radio of 55mm). These units must have the single DIN body relocated to the top of the dashboard because in the crafter the single DIN hole is at the top, the lower part is only 55mm deep and is not a DIN depth so would not allow you to mount a traditional Double DIN radio.
PLEASE NOTE: Only suitable for use with aftermarket head unit stereos with a maximum mounting depth of 55 mm or an L-shape chassis at the top

Careful attention needs to be paid to the radio that is to be fitted and modifications may be required, either to the fascia kit or the vehicle.
We strongly recommend the installation is done by an experienced car audio technician only

2021 - The introduction of E-Call function
A key functional extension in the 2021 model of the TGE is the 3-button module, which is placed in a central position in the roof liner. The module, which has two grey buttons and one signal red button, makes it possible to make emergency calls (EU emergency calls), and call the MAN breakdown service and info service without connecting a mobile phone. When the signal red SOS button is pressed or the airbag is released, an audio connection to the emergency call centre is automatically created via the emergency number 112. The module simultaneously transmits the vehicle’s location and other information defined by law to speed up the rescue operation.
The MAN breakdown service button can be identified by the spanner symbol. Pressing this button automatically calls the MAN Mobile24 Call Centre. The module connects the driver to the right contact person in the Call Centre using the pre-set language in the infotainment system. At the same, the system transmits important vehicle data like the location and error codes to MAN Mobile24 so that a diagnosis and repairs can be made quickly in the event of a breakdown.
The information button – the one with the i symbol – also calls the MAN Mobile24 Call Centre. The info call is for clarifying vehicle-related issues. The new 3-button module is available for all new radio models for the MAN TGE – for an additional charge in the basic “MAN Radio Van” version and as standard for all other models.
To retain the E-call function when adding a new aftermarket car stereo you will require a E-Call/ SOS Retention Adapter (10-672). This CAN Bus interface specifically designed to help retain the E-Call functions of the 'emergency call system' in select Seat, Skoda & Volkswagen (2015 Onwards) vehicle models. When combined with one of our steering wheel control interfaces or fitting kits, This adapter allows an aftermarket head unit to be installed, whilst bypassing the factory fitted amplified system. This adapter is designed to match the correct impedance of the vehicles speaker system. This interface is an ideal accessory to include between the wiring setup of any installation when upgrading to an aftermarket head unit and is the perfect solution for retaining the vehicle's E-Call function.
2021 - 4 new infotainment systems
