BMW E39 5 Series Double DIN car stereo upgrade fitting kit (QUADLOCK CONNECTION)

Complete fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit and retain the original steering wheel controls in a BMW 5 series E39 with the Quadlock connector at the back of the radio.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna adapter cable (21-106)

Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a fakra antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Steering wheel control interface (29-628)

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various BMW cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio.

Universal SWC patch lead (29-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the 29-Series control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit.

Suitable for Use with Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Zenec, Philips, Dynavin and non branded Chinese head units.

BMW 5 series E39 Double DIN car audio fascia (50-769)

Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Double DIN aftermarket version

Fits BMW 5-Series E39 (1997-2003) car models

This fascia has side fixing brackets so no radio cage is needed and brings the radio forward slightly so that it is not flush with the dashboard, as there is very little room behind the dashboard for the chassis of most after market Double DIN radios.
