Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single or Double DIN aftermarket car stereo radio and retain the use of the steering wheel audio controls in select Nissan 350Z (2003-2005) car models with standard audio systems.
This fitting kit will allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single or Double DIN car audio stereo whilst still retaining the shape, style, size and colour of the original OEM factory fitted radio. The supplied interface (29-645) adapts from the Nissan twin 10 and 6 pin connectors and the smaller 16 pin connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors, needed to install a new aftermarket car stereo. This interface will also retain use of the factory controls on the steering wheel column, allowing the user to select options such as volume up, volume down, track skip and other source and phone command buttons.
This head unit fitting kit includes:
Nissan 350Z Steering wheel control interface (29-645)Steering wheel control interface and radio adapter cable for Nissan Elgrand, X-Trail, Almera and Terrano cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade.
The cable adapts from the Nissan twin 10 and 6 pin connectors and the smaller 16 pin connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.
The steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation.
The interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source and phone buttons.
Universal steering control interface patch lead (29-025)
Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces.
This cable plugs into the InCarTec control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit.
This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Installation notes
When installing a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo the middle bar of the fascia will need to be cut, please see the attached fascia instructions on how to do this.
Compatibility Notes
This stereo upgrade fitting kit is compatible with select Nissan 350Z (03-05) car models with factory fitted standard audio systems.
This is easily identifiable by looking at the tape deck insert on your factory Nissan radio.
If the tape deck insert is blank this means it is a standard audio system.
If the tape deck insert has BOSE written on it as pictured below this means it is a factory BOSE audio system and will require a different car stereo upgrade fitting kit, part number FK-229-BOSE
