Volkswagen ID3 ID4 ID5 camera interface (27-584)
This interface allows you to add rear camera to the OEM monitor of select VW cars with MIB3. It adds active parking lines and integrates with the cars parking sensors to provide a visual parking display.
Connects at the head-unit control module beneath glove box.
No special coding is needed as the interface integrates with the LVDS cable behind the vehicle head unit. The rear camera will activate as soon as reverse gear is engaged.
The second Video input is used for DVR input if required. If a front camera input is needed it is possible to use this extra video input however the video feed wire (red) will need to be moved to the position next to the black wire on the white connector. (dip switch 8 is then set to ON) . The front camera will only activate if reverse gear is selected and then immediately afterwards drive forward gear is selected. it
