Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single or Double DIN aftermarket radio and retain the use of the steering wheel controls and original amplifier in Volvo S60, V70 and XC70 (2005-2007) car models.
This head unit fitting kit includes:
Volvo to DIN antenna adapter (21-104)
This cable adapts from the original grey Volvo antenna connector in the car to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connector, this is used when fitting an aftermarket stereo upgrade.
Volvo ISO radio adapter Steering control interface (39-VOL-02)
A Volvo to ISO radio adapter cable with built in steering wheel control interface is also supplied in the kit. The cable adapts from the green and grey Volvo connectors in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. A phono to 6 pin DIN adapter is also included to provide audio to the original amplifier in the car. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip and phone buttons.
The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse output signals to the new stereo.
This interface is supplied with a universal patch lead. The patch lead links the steering control interface to the steering wheel control input on the back of the new stereo.
PLEASE NOTE: An additional PDC retention interface (25-514-VOLVO) is required for cars that have original parking sensors.
This interface comes with a universal patch lead which can be used with Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony or Zenec Head-units.
Single/Double DIN fascia adapter panel (50-179)
Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single or Double DIN car radio upgrade.
The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.
Use the supplied pocket with the fascia adapter to fit a Single DIN radio, or remove the pocket and use the fascia trim only to fit a Double DIN aftermarket head unit.
For Double DIN installation the fascia takes a 113mm high cage, this is the size of cage supplied with all major brand aftermarket radio manufacturers.
PLEASE NOTE: For Double DIN installation the central bar of the fascia needs to be cut out.
PLEASE NOTE: This fitting kit is designed to fit facelift 2005 - 2007 Volvo S60, V70 and XC70 cars.

This fitting kit is Suitable for fitting facelift Volvo V70 2005 to 2007 cars with HU-6XX and HU-8XX original radios
The model numbers of the radios are printed on the front of the radio in the bottom right corner. Model number begin with HU- then have a three digit number to identify the radio model. Numbers begin with either a 6 or an 8 and require different speaker wiring depending on which it is.
The below image shows the different connectors on the HU-8 and HU-6 radios.
The 8 pin DIN connectors are used for the CD changer.
