The Alpine SXE-17CS is a 6.5″ (16.5cm) 2-way component speaker system designed as a high-value upgrade for factory car audio systems. Built using long structured cellulose fibre cones with a reinforced titanium-style coating and a durable rubber surround, the speakers provide improved accuracy across low and mid frequencies while maintaining linear cone movement and reduced distortion.

Separate Mylar-Titanium balanced dome tweeters deliver enhanced high-frequency detail and improved sound staging compared to coaxial speaker designs. With 280W peak power handling, 45W RMS capability and a sensitivity of around 90dB, the SXE-17CS performs well with both factory head units and aftermarket car stereos without requiring complex amplification.

Designed as part of Alpine’s popular SXE Series, this component system provides a noticeable improvement over standard OEM speakers while remaining easy to install and cost-effective.
