Pioneer 9" Perfect Fit Fitting Kit for VW Crafter (2017–2023) – Composition Colour / Composition Media / Discover Media

Upgrade the infotainment system in your Volkswagen Crafter (2017–2023) fitted with factory Composition Colour, Composition Media or Discover Media head units and steering wheel audio controls using this dedicated Pioneer 9-inch Perfect Fit fitting kit. Designed specifically for Pioneer 9 inch Perfect Fit stereos such as the SPH-PF97BT (sold separately), this kit allows the modern floating-style display to be installed while maintaining key factory vehicle functions.

The included CAN-Bus steering wheel control Infoadapter retains factory steering wheel audio controls and phone button functionality where equipped. It also generates essential vehicle outputs including Park Brake, Speed Pulse, Reverse Gear and Mute signals required for aftermarket multimedia systems.

A 10.1-inch fascia adapter panel and 10.1-to-9-inch step-down plate are supplied to allow the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT display to fit neatly within the dashboard aperture. The kit also includes a double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with phantom power and a patch lead to ensure seamless communication between the vehicle interface and the Pioneer head unit.

This stereo upgrade fitting kit contains:

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable (21-139)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

The phantom power feed terminates in a junior timer receptacle terminal to make it easy to connect into the electric antenna turn on position of a standard ISO connector. We also have this part available with a male bullet connector to make the phantom power lead easier to connect to ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces with a female bullet connection for the electric antenna turn on, the 21-139K.

Steering wheel control Infoadapter interface (29-CTUVW04)

Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit.

This interface allows the use of the Steering Wheel audio controls, as well retaining the vehicle menus when installing an aftermarket head unit.

This interface also provides optional input for reversing camera/ parking sensors (if applicable) and outputs for park brake, speed pulse, reverse gear and mute

Steering wheel control Infoadapter interface (29-CT-025)

Universal patch lead for 29-CT series steering controls. Suitable for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and Chinese head-units that are steering wheel remote ready.

This cable plugs into the Steering wheel control box and into either the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the head-units. Follow instruction to cut loops if needed.
